The Canadian Zionist Federation provides Israel education and engagement programs to Jewish communities in Canada
The Canadian Zionist Federation is an umbrella organization of Zionist groups in Canada associated with the World Zionist Organization. CZF strengthens the connection between Canadian Jews and Israel, through education programs, seminars and cultural events. CZF strives to be a relevant and active address for Zionist activity throughout Canada, and particularly in smaller communities.
Cooking up in Hebrew / Mevashlim Be’evrit
Cooking up in Hebrew is a monthly program that gets people together for joint learning and cooking in conjunction with the Jewish-Israeli calendar, holidays and other significant occasions. Through the medium of cooking, participants learn about Israeli culture and language.
Tachles is a unique Hebrew language program that builds spoken vocabulary. Through activities and games participants explore Hebrew as a language and a culture. Tachles is interactive and fun!
Beit HaAm Films
The Beit Ha’am Films kit consists of six short Israeli films that were carefully chosen from dozens of prize-winning works. The films present various perspectives on Israeli society, the way of life in Israel, and issues of concern to young Israeli filmmakers. Watching them enables Jews in the Diaspora to become acquainted with and reflect on diverse and relevant themes and connect with their Jewish identity and the State of Israel from a different angle.
A Fascinating documentary: Ben-Gurion Epilogue
An educational screening of the Israeli film: “Ben-Gurion, Epilogue”. Based on never seen before archive material, the film reveals the final years of Israel’s founder, David Ben-Gurion. Excluded from leadership, he allowed himself a hindsight perspective, through introspective soul-searching. His reflections provide a surprising vision for today’s crucial decisions and for the future of Israel.
Beit HaAm: Israeli Engagement Program
The Beit Ha’am program encourages discussion among Diaspora Jews on a variety of Israeli topics. It includes a diverse selection of traditional and modern texts.
Israeli Kabbalat Shabbat
A simple and joyful initiative by Jewish young adults for Jewish young adults: a monthly Friday night gathering, full of meaning and togetherness. Shabbat and the City is part of a broader program called Let’s Start Davening. The program has engaged young adults all over the world. It is a proven way to successfully bring Jewish young adults together.
